Ea lla Koto have registered the Bethlehem facility as their home ground with Charles Mopeli in Phuthaditjhaba as their alternative venue.
"We are excited that the venue will be renovated. That will also help in terms of hosting small international games," said Rantsi Mokoena, Stars' brand manager.
Mokoena was reacting to an announcement by Joe Mafereka, the Free State 2010 World Cup political champion, that four venues will be upgraded.
One of those is Charles Mopeli, which African Warriors use as their home ground. Its capacity will increase from 35000 to 40000.
Goble Park's capacity will increase from to 12000 to 30000.
"We will also be upgrading the stadium in Fezile Dabi from 15000 to 20 000 people. Welkom stadium will increase from 30000 to 35000," said Mafereka.
He said they wanted to ensure that there were great sport facilities for the communities after the 2010 World Cup.
"These are some of the legacy projects that we are doing for our communities, it will also help to see more competitive soccer games coming to Free State.
