The case of Paul Mokgomane Mofokeng, who has admitted to kidnapping and repeatedly raping a six-year-old Soweto girl, was yesterday postponed for the third time in the Protea magistrate's court.

On August 19, Mofokeng, 26, kidnapped the girl, who may not be named from her Mofolo home. During his first appearance, Mofokeng told magistrate Brian Nemavhidi: "I admit to having committed the crimes."

Nemavhidi had asked him whether he wanted legal aid or would have his own lawyer represent him when he confessed.

He was arrested in Deje informal settlement near Pretoria on September 8, where he had been hiding. His next appearance is on November 14.
