If previous records are anything to go by, the Bulls have got an upper hand over the Cheetahs whom they meet in a Absa Currie Cup match at Loftus in Pretoria tomorrow at 7.10pm.
A bonus point win for the Bulls will enable them to consolidate the third spot on the log table and qualify for the semifinals set for next Saturday.
Moreover, the Bulls will have revenge on their minds having lost to the Cheetahs 48-18 in the first round in Bloemfontein earlier this year.
Bulls' myriad of supporters in Gauteng will no doubt pack the stadium to capacity, egging their team to continue with their dominance over the Cheetahs since 2004.
The two have contested 13 games, including three finals, in the past four years and the Bulls had the upper hand.
In the cup finals, both teams won one game each in 2004 and 2005 respectively and went on to share the spoils last season in their 28-28 draw at Free State Stadium. In their 10 league meetings, the Bulls registered six victories compared to Cheetahs' two and drew twice.
Bulls' coach Tote Human yesterday said the team was still on a high after blasting Wildeklawer Griquas 62-15 at the weekend.
"Cheetahs may be a tricky outfit but my boys are ready to take them head on and prove beyond doubt that our first round defeat in Bloemfontein was a flash in the pan,'' Human said.
He said his team was injury free and will select the 15-member starting line-up this morning.
Cheetahs' coach Naka Drotske has promised to field the same squad that registered a narrow 25-23 win over Sharks at the weekend.
