Much-deriled fashionista Ayanda Mbuli has done it again.

The beauty queen landed a plush presenting job on SABC TV.

And this time around she insists that people will see her true self, not just Ayanda the beauty queen and glamorous showbiz personality, she told Sowetan in an interview yesterday.

Ayanda also defended the producer's choice of her for the show, as the best suited person to host an intellectual show, especially because so far she has not been associated with anything else besides showbiz.

"There is a problem in South African entertainment as far as intellectualism is concerned. I have been portrayed in a certain way and people have not been given an opportunity to see the other side of me.

"The truth is, I am an intellectual myself, because I am highly educated as I hold a B Com degree, a national diploma in sales and marketing and a certificate in project management. And through this show called African Intellectualism, I will take South Africa on an important journey about African intellectualism and issues of identity," she said..

The show starts this Saturday on SABC2 at 10am, then shows again on Thursday at 10pm on SABC1 and will be repeated on SABC Africa.
