The marathon trial has been set down for March 3 to 19 during which dozens of witnesses are expected to take the stand. Some of the witnesses are long-time friends and colleagues Chomane Chomane and station manager Pula Pula Mothibi.
Motaung, his wife Mmamontha, and a business associate Joshua Ramme, were arrested late last year and charged with defrauding the SABC of R32million in air- time sales.
The trio is currently out on bail.
In March, the Asset Forfeiture Unit attached all Motaung's properties and froze his bank accounts and those of his wife. - Simon Nare
