Emerging goal poacher and current PSL leading goal- scorer, Diyo "Mexican Wave" Sibisi from Free State Stars says he is eyeing the Bafana Bafana jersey.

Sibisi, 23, who is in scintillating form this season, has scored five goals in five matches, added that he would love to partner Benni McCarthy in the national team.

During the off-season, Sibisi said he was certain that after 15 matches, Carlos Alberto Perreira would have noticed his scoring prowess and included him in the national team.

But with only five matches played so far this season, and with his boots doing excellently where most of the striker's fail, he is certain to realise his dream.

"I still stand by what I said to you before. I can assure you that after 15 matches, the national coach would have noticed me and given me my first call-up.

" I am working very hard in realising that dream and I intend to keep working hard. I am eyeing the top goalscorer award at the end of the season," he said.

He said he wants to score more than 15 goals, which is a tally that former Jomo Cosmos striker Chris Katongo had registered at the halfway stage during the previous season, which won him the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot ward.

"I would like to score at least 18 goals.

"But if I get a chance to score more, that would be a privilege," he said.

Sibisi said he was concentrating on helping his team cement their position on the log and challenge for some silverware this season.

"We have to do well and it's up to me and the rest of the guys to achieve that, and with the type of players and the attitude prevailing in the team at the moment, I think we'll do well," he said.
