People withdrawing large sums of money in Zeerust have fallen prey to robbers since January, North West police said yesterday.
Superintendent Louis Jacobs said people were targeted after they had withdrawn money from banks.
Samuel Rakade, 56, was killed in January. Police found his body, which had been thrown from a bridge.
In April, 61-year-old Albert Motswagae was also thrown off a bridge in Swartruggens, but he survived, said Jacobs.
