The family of the slain Folweni sisters - the victims of the sugar cane serial killer - say they will not have closure until they meet the suspect face to face.
The distraught family told Sowetan yesterday that they had so many questions that the serial killer needed to answer.
On Sunday morning police arrested five men at Welbedacht, outside Durban.
One of the five is suspected to be the serial killer.
Detective reports indicate that the killer lured the women to remote areas with false job offers.
After meeting the unsuspecting women, he would then take them to the sugar cane field at Umzinto, where they were raped and strangled.
The Mpanza sisters Nonjabulo, 21, and Philisiwe 27, are among the five victims killed since June this year.
They are among the three who have since been identified. Detectives discovered their bodies in a sugar cane field in Shayamoya at Umzinto on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.
Their family reported them missing in June.
Now the family says they fear for their safety.
They do not want their names published after the breakthrough by police.
"We 're scared. The thought of how he killed them. We wonder whether our daughters died a slow painful death, or if they were tortured for days before finally being killed.
"These are some of the questions that if not answered would be on our minds for as long as we live," said one of the distraught family members.
She said they had searched for the missing women for three months to no avail.
