Johannesburg motorists have a chance to break speed limits or other road rules between 11am and around 2pm tomorrow.
This will be made possible by the fact that the local Metro police will be playing football instead of policing the roads of eJozi.
The traffic cops, or speedkops as they are called in the townships, will pit their football skills, or lack thereof, against Premier Soccer League giants Jomo Cosmos in a friendly game at the Jomo Cosmos Academy training grounds. Kickoff is at 11am.
It remains to be seen how fast the metro police will be allowed to run or whether they will be cautious of their speed.
Issuing tickets to the opposition will also be high on the agenda during this exhibition match. - Sello Rabothata
