Thomas Madigage, SuperSport United's assistant coach, is adamant that they will soon recapture their winning rhythm.

"It has been tough for us in the past few weeks; we are playing well but just need to click," said Madigage yesterday.

Madigage, also known as "Chincha" in soccer circles, is hoping for a good result against Kaizer Chiefs in a Castle Premiership match at Loftus Stadium on Sunday.

Things have also not been rosy for Amakhosi who were defeated 1-0 in their last Premiership match by BidVest Wits in Rustenburg two weeks ago.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori were beaten 2-1 by Jomo Cosmos two weeks ago and went on to lose by the same margin to Orlando Pirates in the SAA Supa 8 semifinal.

"We need a month to get back to our winning ways, it is important to collect points early in the season to avoid the pains of thinking about relegation," said Madigage.

"The game against Chiefs will be a hard one. Chiefs play great soccer but have not been lucky up front. I have a lot of respect for them. We need to avoid conceding.

"Hopefully we will get a good result. The boys are available and everybody is fired up for the game."

Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral was on cloud nine yesterday after his player, David Obua, scored a hat trick when Uganda beat Nigeria 3-1 to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals. Ertugral is hoping the player will transfer his appetite for goals to the Premiership.

He said they had recovered from the loss to the Clever Boys.

In other games on Sunday, Moroka Swallows welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows at Germiston Stadium. Elsewhere, AmaZulu, who have reached an agreement with veteran Shoes Moshoeu for a new contract, take on Bloemfontein Celtic.
