The tendency of the media and the public to praise and focus attention on one individual is still going to cost us a lot. Our national team was maturing nicely, until one "highly worshipped" individual decided to come back. Everybody, including the coach, started making noises about McCarthy and ignored other team members.
That didn't go down well with them. By the way, the same McCarthy was not there when the boys won previous games.
