Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
As a Jacob Zuma supporter, I believe ANC chairman Mosiuoa Lekota should never be deprived of his freedom of speech.
But I have a problem when he deliberately tries to deceive people.
His latest utterances regarding our freedom song Umshini wami are unacceptable. As a seasoned cadre of the ANC, Lekota knows and understands very well that singing that song is not a political statement nor an expression of the singer's intent. It is just a chant.
Lekota intentionally misinterpreted our culture as Africans. The minister should know that when we Africans are happy we sing, when we are sad we sing and when we are inspired we also sing.
