A goal four minutes from time from Wissem Ben Yahia saw Club Africain take a one-point lead in Ligue 1 as previous leaders Etoile Sahel were involved in African Champions League action.
Ben Yahia's goal gave Club Africain a 3-2 home win as they twice came from behind against newly promoted Stade Gabisien.
EGS Gafsa won 4-0 away at bottom club Stade Tunisien, while Olympique Beja were the weekend's other winners with a 1-0 home triumph over CS Hammam Lif.
Ivory Coast
Africa Sports extended their lead to seven points in the Ligue 1 standings as Koffi Kan Olie scored twice in a 3-1 win over Reveil Daloa. Second-placed Asec Abidjan, who were competing in the African Champions League in Cairo on Sunday, have three games in hand.
Sabe Bouna stayed third with a 1-0 away win at Stella Abidjan but remain 13 points off the pace.
Senegal
A 1-1 draw at home against Casa Sports assured AS Saloum of a place in next year's African Champions League as they were confirmed as runners-up in the national championship playoffs.
AS Douanes, who have already retained the title, were also held to a draw in the last round of the season. Their game at home to US Ouakam ended goalless.
Cameroon
A 1-0 away win kept champions Coton Sport ahead by a single point in the premier division. The victory at Universite Ngedere means that Union Douala stay second after they won 2-0 at relegation-threatened Sable Batie.
Also still in contention, three points behind the leaders, are Mount Cameroon, who were 2-0 winners at second-from-bottom Federal Noun.

InterClube went to the top of the GiraBola for the first time this season with a 2-1 win over Petro Huambo. The police team, coached by former Brazil World Cup defender Carlos Mozer, moved one point ahead of champions Primeiro Agosto, who lost a thrilling derby to Petro Atletico.
Petro's win keeps them third, just one point further back. Petro were 2-0 down at half-time but rallied with two goals from international striker Manucho and a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Santana.
Mozambique
Costa do Sol moved into a nine-point lead in the Mocambola with a 1-0 home win over bottom-placed Benfica Quelimane. Ferroviario Nampula's 1-0 win at Benfica Macuti sees them second as a defensive error allowed Heldifio to score the game's only goal 11 minutes from time.

Dynamos opened up a five-point lead in the premier league after coming from a goal down to win 2-1 away at Lengthens.
A second-half penalty from Edward Sadomba ensured the win as champions Highlanders suffered a surprise 4-1 home defeat to Shooting Stars to drop back in second place. Two goals from Clive Mwale helped Stars to the win.
Nigeria
The planned weekend kickoff of the new premier league season was postponed due to a row over control of the referees between the Nigerian Football League and the football association.
Clubs said they feared corruption if the Nigerian Football Association were to handle the appointment of match officials for league games and have resolved not to play until the matter is resolved. - Reuters
