The Sowetan Women's Club has ended women's month celebrations with a spectacular fashion show by one of its members.
The event, which also marked the beginning of the club's 10th birthday celebrations, was held at the Turfontein Race Course on Wednesday.
Political activist and commissioner for gender equality Nombonisa Gasa delivered a motivational speech while singer Thembisile Ntaka entertained guests in the evening.
More than 400 club members and guests watched in amazement as five models made a statement on the catwalk.
The models wowed the crowd with designs assembled by Dimakatso Dikgole, affectionately known as Maki D and Lesego Malatsi - both owners of Mzansi Designers.
The range comprised Umabo, which designs classic office wear; Sovuk, contemporary street wear and Mzansi, which gave a fun look for the active and sporty. The models also showcased lingerie and blankets.
