Andrew Dipela, Premier Soccer League general manager for soccer, is leaving for Tanzania this morning to attend the Fifa Futuro Three regional administration course.

The week-long course in Tanzania ends on September 5.

Participants will become Futuro Three administration instructors of the world soccer governing body after completing the 12-module course, which was introduced as a pilot project by Fifa in Asia and Africa at the beginning of this year.

Sipho Nkumane, Bafana Bafana manager, is one of the first four African soccer administrators to graduate in the course in Namibia three weeks ago for the English- speaking countries in southern Africa, Kenya and Uganda.

Those who have completed the course are assigned by Fifa to conduct courses.

Other South African administrators who are busy with the other modules of the same course are Safa international affairs director Pinky Lehoko and provincial affairs officer Moss Sibilanga.

"It's a great honour for me to be part of the course run by the world governing body on matters relating to the administration of the beautiful game. I have been told some interesting things about the course by Sipho," said Dipela yesterday.

"It is good for us as South Africans to attend the course, especially considering that it also deals with things like how to run competitions, marketing, communication and developing a website. It will help us a lot when we host the 2010 World Cup."

Nkumane, who spoke highly of the course, said he was delighted to see more South African administrators registering for the course.
