David Nowitz, senior marketing manager for the society said: "The current Lovers Plus condoms were manufactured by Innolatex in Malaysia."
"Prior to that the other companies who had manufactured for the society were Karex in South Africa and Unidas in Korea."
Nowitz said the report in yesterday's Sowetan claiming LSP also supplied condoms including Lovers Plus to the general public was incorrect.
He said the society was an NGO with the mission to help reduce HIV infections in the country.
"This we do through projects including the New Start HIV counselling and testing centres. Our youth Aids project does peer education programmes in townships, teaching young people safer sexual practices."
