Correctional Services spokesman Manelisi Wolela has denied allegations that student leader Mcebo Dla.
Two 10-year-old girls were killed and the mother of one of them injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a taxi in Vanderbijlpark on Friday night.
ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said the woman's daughter was in the front passenger seat, and the girl's friend was in the back seat on the left-hand side of an Opel Corsa.
The car was "T-boned" by a taxi on the corner of Frikkie Meyer Boulevard and Houtkop Street at about 10pm.
The girls received the full impact of the collision on their side of the car.
"There was nothing paramedics could do for them, and they were declared dead on the scene," Vermaak said.
Paramedics had to use jaws of life to free the mother from the wreckage. She was taken to the Vanderbijlpark Medi-Clinic.
Vermaak said "a lot of accidents" happened at the intersection.
