I am one of those who is not entirely satisfied with policing in our country. But the incident of young Lungelo Mahlangu , published in Sowetan recently, made me realise that we have some excellent police officers.
In recent years, it has become normal for children to go missing, and sometimes it seems as if nobody cares.
For a mother to lose a child must be terrible, but finding your child after such a long period must be the greatest relief and joy. I felt that when I read the story.
The police have done a "thumbs-up" job. They deserve better salaries. I wish that all SAPS members were committed to finding all our missing children, and punish all the monsters who terrorise the children of our country. Congratulations SAPS.
