A Pretoria farmer who was arrested for allegedly injecting an employee with medicine meant for pigs, was released on R500 bail yesterday by the Pretoria magistrates' court.
Lui Albertz, 34, was arrested at his plot in Flora Park, Pretoria, after his employee, Rams Madibogo, 23, laid a charge of common assault which was later changed to attempted murder. Madibogo told police that his employer injected him when he asked to consult a doctor.
The labourer claims his boss grabbed him, lowered his pants and injected him with the drug. He also claims that the farmer's friends offered him R4000 to drop the case. The case was postponed to September 6 for further investigation.
