Alexander is wanted on 35 fraud charges allegedly committed when he was chief executive of software company Comverse Technology in New York.
"The case will be heard on November 12," Magistrate Petrus Unengu ruled after Alexander's lawyer Louis du Pisani requested a postponement to allow senior counsel from South Africa time to prepare his case. Alexander, who holds dual US-Israeli citizenship, fled to Namibia in July last year.
He was arrested in September at the request of Washington. He was later released after paying R10million bail, the highest paid in a Namibian court.
The court also banned him from travelling outside of the capital of Windhoek.
However, another court in Namibia last week relaxed that restriction, allowing him to travel within the country.
Since arriving in Namibia last year, Alexander has invested in a low-cost housing project at Walvis Bay, some 400km west of Windhoek. - Sapa-AFP
