The pop star was speaking to US talkshow host Larry King last week about the secret Las Vegas nuptials, and insisted she would make it up to the people who missed out on her big day.
King, who dubbed Brown "Sneaky Spice", was told "We made plans to have, like, a big wedding for all of our friends and family.
"We wanted it to be a private thing and a commitment just for me and him.
"That was important."
Brown also said she's desperate for kids with her new spouse, despite fighting a paternity battle with Eddie Murphy, the father of her four-month-old daughter Angel Iris.
On Larry King Live, Brown refused to confirm reports that she had asked the actor for a R63million home for her and the new baby.
But Brown's mother said the secret marriage was "a big mistake".
