The Ladies' Night Concert at the Coca-Cola Dome on Wednesday demonstrated that US R&B musicians - K-CI and Jojo, Keith Sweat and Ginuwine - have no rivals in the game.

The packed Dome witnessed one of its best concerts this year as revellers responded joyously to their talent.

Choosing Ntando to open the show was a wise option.

As with his US counterparts, he has the ability to melt the hearts of many local female fun lovers.

His performance created an uneasy sense of calm - as if something big was about to explode.

And that's exactly what happened when Ginuwine was received with tremendous applause from the female fans when he got on stage to do his thing.

Many of the revellers risked losing their voices what with their screaming and shouting praises while they swayed to his exciting rendition of romantic tunes.

After Ginuwine's impressive performance, the moment that many had been waiting for came when fellow US stars: K-CI and Jojo went on stage.

The screaming and shouting in appreciation raised the roof.

And when K-CI took off his shirt and simulated sex on stage, the whole Dome erupted into uncontrollable excitement. Female fans moved in close to sample whatever their imagination picked up.

Keith Sweat was just as impressive. By the time he went on stage the crowd was more than ready for their favourite tunes.

Sowetan and Metro FM were the media sponsors of the concert.
