Jabu Moleketi and Joe Phaahla are some of the top government leaders who will take part in the 2010 World Cup National Communications Partnership Conference.
The conference,whose theme is "Africa's time has come", will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Moleketi is the deputy minister of finance and is also a board member of the World Cup Local Organising Committee.
Phaahla is director-general of the government's 2010 World Cup unit.
It will be the second conse-cutive conference to align communication about South Africa and the whole of Africa in the build-up to 2010.
An array of communicators throughout the continent are expected to attend the conference, which will end with a media tour of the various 2010 World Cup projects.
The tour will be used to show the media the progress in South Africa's preparations for the 2009 Confederations Cup and the World Cup.
The venues to be visited include Soccer City, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Cup, Orlando Stadium and other legacy projects.
l The LOC board will meet on Tuesday at Safa House where Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke will attend. Irvin Khoza, chairman of the LOC, will also use the event to address the media on some of the developments relating to the World Cup preparations.
