Education Minister Naledi Pandor yesterday strongly condemned the burning of classrooms and intimidation of pupils and teachers in Khutsong.

Pandor met a delegation of the Khutsong Ministers' Fraternal in Pretoria yesterday.

Pandor called on leaders and the community of Khutsong to encourage teachers and scholars to go back to school.

"There can be no justification for burning school buildings or the intimidation of learners and educators, particularly when the processes for legal remedies have not been exhausted by the community of Khutshong."

Pandor said all stakeholders were committed in getting education in Khutsong normalised.
