A Limpopo paving company has reneged on its undertaking to complete and rectify its shoddy workmanship after pocketing R8500 from its client.

And the Limpopo Consumer Affairs, which agreed to intervene, said such unfair business practices cannot be tolerated.

Moloisi Abram, of Limpopo, saved money every month to renovate his house.

Paving the yard of his house was his focal point.

He then went to Concrete King who took measurements of the ground that he wanted paved and gave him a quotation of R8500 for the work.

They started to pave the yard three weeks after he had paid the full amount, but did not complete the work.

Since May it has been a hassle to get them to complete the work.

"I have been given one excuse after the other," said Moloisi.

The Limpopo Office of Consumer Affairs said it will investigate Moloisi's complaint.

Concrete King has failed to respond to our inquiries for the past two weeks.
