If things could swing Khabonina Qubeka's way, she would become her Muvhango character, Doobsie, permanently.

The actress admitted that she was in love with the character. She said she was so attached to Doobsie that she couldn't let go.

Qubeka poured her heart to Sowetan yesterday before shooting her last episode today.

"It has been a journey for me. I can't believe I am saying goodbye to the character that made me famous.

"I really enjoyed playing Doobsie and would have loved to continue playing it. I like it because Doobsie always strives to get what she wants.

"I tried to be me not somebody else. I am not bitter that the character was ended in honour of the late Lindiwe Chibi. She deserves it."

But followers of Doobsie will continue seeing her until next year. Though she could not divulge the story line, she said Doobsie won't die.

Qubeka said she would miss the mixed feelings she gets when people see her.

"There are those who think I am a bitch while others adore the character. Some even gave me tips on how to deal with the cheeky Thandaza."

She said one of the highlights of playing Doobsie is an episode still to be flighted.

"My highlight is the episode about the whole court issue.

"I feel I gave my best but television viewers need to tune it to find out what really went down."
