Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
THE SABC says actress Kamogelo Mampe, who plays Palesa in the popular soapie Muvhango, has not been fired as it was earlier reported, but was served with a warning letter.
She was warned to improve her acting skills or ship out.
"Mampe's acting ability is not up to standard and, to address the situation, the production house hired a private acting coach for her," Muvhango's executive producer, Duma Ndlovu, said.
SABC2 publicist Lebo Malete said the channel and the production company met the actress last week and various issues were discussed.
"The issues discussed included her bringing the soapie's production to a halt last week," said Malete.
Malete said Mampe apologised and accepted responsibility for her actions. "It was then decided that she must be served with a warning letter."
