Frank Lampard seems certain to remain a Chelsea player after receiving a big pay rise.
Speculation has been mounting that the England midfielder could be looking to leave Stamford Bridge after failing to sign a new contract.
The speculation intensified after colleague John Terry penned a massive £131000-a-week (about R1,9million) new deal.
But Lampard's agent, Steve Kutner, says his client has already received a huge pay increase to put him in line with the club's top earners.
The midfielder was already believed to be earning R1,377million a week, but a clause in his current contract has seen him receive a pay boost. A further increase will follow next July when he will have just one year left on his deal.
Kutner insists there is no hurry for Lampard to sign on the dotted line and told News of the World: "If Frank wanted to get away from Chelsea he could have easily done it by now, but of course he hasn't.
"That's because he is 100percent happy and totally committed.
"He is very happy with his current contract and very relaxed in the on-going talks about a new long-term deal.
"As part of his existing contract he has just received a sizeable escalation in his salary, and that will be repeated on July 1 next year to keep him there, even if a new deal has still to be agreed." - Skysports
