Sixty rounds of pugilism from seven bouts have been added to the menu for select diners at Emperors Palace in Ekurhuleni on August 7.

This box-and-dine programme has been dubbed "The Annual Prive Boxing Ball". It comprises a 12-rounder for the SA heavyweight title, an international 10-rounder, three six-rounders and two four-round fights.

This Nick Durandt concept has generated so much interest that all the 170 tables - at R5000 - have been sold out.

All seven bouts will feature a fighter from Durandt's stable. Three bouts are international matchups.

Daniel Bruwer, who has 16 wins and one loss, will fight Brazilian Eduardo Franca, who has 18 wins and 14 losses, in the light heavyweight division over 10 rounds.

Lightweight Kgotla Baeti (12-1) and junior bantamweight Leslie Sekotswe (4-0), who fight out of Durandt's gym, will collide with Moses Mathekga (5-3-2) and Albert Madau, respectively, over six rounds. Baeti and Sekotswe are both from Botswana.

SA heavyweight champion Osborne Machimana will bid for a second defence against Jake Els in the main attraction over 12 rounds. Warren Joubert, who has eight wins and a no-contest, will fight Sfiso Msibi, who has six victories and seven defeats, in the junior lightweight division over six rounds.

Michael van Heerden and Avis Mtolo will collide in a junior middleweight bout over four rounds.

Jacques Stapelberg (4-0) will meet Henry Ngubane (1-1) over four rounds in the lightweight class. Durandt's seven- bout programme will be jointly staged by Golden Gloves, Durandt's Boxing World and Converse.
