Kaizer Chiefs supporters have expressed satisfaction at coach Mushin Ertugral's progress at the team, despite recent back-to-back losses.

Last week, Amakhosi lost to Black Leopards in the Limpopo Soccer Challenge and on Saturday lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur in Durban during the Vodacom Challenge.

But the hard-to-please supporters, who were at the game on Saturday, believe Ertugral is on the right track and is actually the best man for the job. Thandisizwe Dlomo said the fact that he was in a rebuilding process meant that losses could be expected.

"We need to give him all the support he needs. We need to be patient as he is introducing young blood in the team, and I believe in him," said Dlomo.

Said Monica Zwane: "The team is playing well and I think Ertugral will do well.

"He has shown what he wants to do as he introduces young players, and I can assure you that we will win something this season. It's still early, though, but I am one of those who strongly believe that he will succeed at Chiefs."

Vukani Mkhize shared the same sentiments. He said despite the loss, Chiefs played well and if they could stabilise the defence, they would be challenging for championship honours next season.

"We might have lost two games in the space of seven days, but that does not mean we should start pushing panic buttons. Ertugral is an experienced coach who knows his job very well and I think he will be able to achieve more than what he achieved at Ajax," he said.

Matthews Makgobatlou warned other teams, saying they would find Chiefs stiff competition.
