Abuse has turned me off men

I am a woman aged 34 and separated from my husband, who used to abuse me. He hit me, called me names and brought other women home.

I am a woman aged 34 and separated from my husband, who used to abuse me. He hit me, called me names and brought other women home.

Now I am no longer interested in men. When I am involved, I get irritated for no reason. I lose interest very quickly and literally chase the poor man away.I always insist on using a condom and luckily, I always meet guys who understand and are willing to compromise, unlike my formerhusband.

I know I have a very serious problem and I need help. How and where can I get help? I would appreciate your assistance.

Sister, instead of hooking up with men you are going to chase away and who you know you will hurt, get help and heal yourself. Until then, stay away from men.

Contact People Opposing Women Abuse (Powa) who will put you into touch with a therapist experienced in dealing with women who have been abused.

If you do not want to contact Powa, see a therapist who has experience in helping women who have survived abuse. You are already well on the way to being healed if you acknowledge that you have a problem and want to be helped.

When you have dealt with your problems, you are going to be one helluva women and an inspiration to many. Good luck.
