The legendary Sir Elton John is coming to South Africa in January. Fans of the veteran musician should brace themselves for some of the greatest entertainment ever to hit Mzansi.

The superstar begins his concert in Cape Town on January 13 before moving to Durban on January 16. The tour ends in Johannesburg on January 18.

Born 60 years ago in Middlesex, England, John is one of the most successful singers of his generation, and his many gold and platinum records prove that he is among the best.

Dex de Bruin, Primedia Broadcasting Group marketing manager, said: "Elton John is timeless, and a core artist for both 94.7 and 94.5. He has topped our charts over the years with a string of hits."

Audiences can look forward to great hits such as Rocket Man, Candle In The Wind, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Crocodile Rock, The Bitch is Back, I'm Still Standing, Saturday Night and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, among many more.

Tickets will be on sale from Monday. Watch this space.
