Investigate the Khutsong protest leadership

I agree with Blade Nzimande's statement that those who want to break from the tripartite alliance by choosing to stand for elections alone are peacetime heroes who do not have an idea of our history.

To mobilise a few angry residents in Khutsong under the influence of a few in the SACP leadership in the area does not qualify anyone to claim readiness to take on the ANC.

The ANC-SACP-Cosatu alliance was built with the blood of true martyrs.

Those who fought and died for this freedom wanted to see our children free from oppression, marginalisation, gutter education and free to choose what is good or bad for them.

Today, some self-styled leaders continue to mislead children by discouraging them from going to school.

They use children to fight their own battles. These battles should be fought by following the proper constitutional processes.

It is unfortunate that children in Khutsong continue to lose time to do school work, while some misguided leaders celebrate this as a victory.

My call to the ANC leadership is to investigate the counter-revolutionaries in Khutsong.

It is heartbreaking to walk in Khutsong and see people being intimidated for wearing ANC T-shirts and SACP leaders not saying a thing.

Khutsong leaders should persuade children to go back to school.
