About 50 residents of Combiza informal settlement in Etwatwa near Daveyton barricaded the busy Eiselen Street with burning tyres in yet another protest against slow service delivery.
Ekurhuleni metro cops and members of the SAPS dispersed the protesters and cleared the road.
Vuyiswa Jingxi, a spokesman for the residents, said, " The Combiza area is under- developed despite numerous meetings and promises . All we want is water, electricity and toilets".
