A memorial service for Lesedi FM's popular Aubrey "DJ Obrigado" Menong will be held in Free State tomorrow.

The 31-year-old Menong died in a road accident 7km from Cradock in the Eastern Cape on Saturday night.

The memorial service will be held at Paradise Hall, Bochabela in Bloemfontein from 1pm until 2.30pm.

He will be buried on Saturday at Kutlwanong in Odendaalsrus. The funeral service starts at 9.30am at the Block 4 Methodist Church.

Rusty Menong, Aubrey's uncle, told Sowetan that three people travelling with Obrigado on Saturday were injured.

One is in Cradock Hospital and the other two were transferred to Port Elizabeth Hospital.

Menong presented many shows, including Khatholoha, Mphahlolle, Top 30, Ka Makhalo and Di a Roropa, on Lesedi FM.

According to the Lesedi FM website, DJ Obrigado joined the radio station in 2001.

He described himself as very professional and friendly. When asked who he would like to meet he said: "God and ask him to explain life to me" and something he would change was to "re-live my life because I believe it is a blessing".

His listeners won' t hear his voice again but his advice to them was "the sky is the limit, live every day as if it is your last. Fear the Creator".

Menong is survived by his mother and two brothers.
