Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
Watching quality soccer as shown in the Copa America was an eye-opener.
The South Americans gave a lesson on how soccer should be played and enjoyed. Those who believe that English, German or Dutch standards are the best should be now quite embarrassed.
The level of ball skills of the South Americans and Mexicans is simply amazing. Those players can dribble, pass and also score a lot of goals with a free- spirited mind.
Their intelligent coaches do not shout at players when and where to pass the ball or not to hold on to it.
They encourage the players to express their talent. Now I understand why Scara Ngobese did marvellous things under Ted Dumitru.
I do not believe local coaches show any respect for skilful players and that's why our standard is far behind that of the South Americans. In fact, if we continue to copy the rigid European style our soccer will go backwards and stadiums will remain empty.
