The argument against a United States of Africa (USA) is weak and generally malicious.

The position that says that the USA should be economically viable before political integration can take place simply means there should be no integration of Africa. This position is short-sighted and self- centred by those who seek to keep Africa as a doormat of other continents.

There is no country in Africa where its indigenous people will succeed economically as long as the continent is divided politically.

We wonder why liberation movements sought political power before economic power in these hopeless nation states called countries?

It is clear to any visionary leader that political integration will bring economic integration. Africans are one nation. Therefore, the culture and social integration argument only arises when Africans want to hold on to the rituals of their colonisers.

Africans all over the world, including in the diaspora, will never be free until Africa is united under one government and a socialist order.
