l The IMM Graduate School of Marketing offers a variety of courses for those who would like to pursue a career in marketing;
l Candidates wishing to enrol for a diploma must have a matric, and those aiming for the degree need a matric with a university exemption and maths as a subject;
l The diploma in marketing, which runs for three years, can be converted into a degree. On completion of the 14 mandatory modules, the student needs to do an additional seven modules to obtain a degree;
l Those who already have other degrees or diplomas may do the two-year certificate to supplement an existing qualification. During the course, principles of advertising, public relations and direct marketing are covered;
l A one-year certificate and an 18-month postgraduate diploma in marketing are also available. The entrance requirements for the postgraduate diploma are three years' working experience in marketing and an undergraduate diploma or degree;
l An entry level marketing assistant can expect to earn about R8000 a month. A marketing manager will earn between R18000 and R20000 a month.
