The Limpopo baby born with four legs will be transferred to the George Mukhari Hospital in GaRankuwa near Pretoria for a final operation to remove her extra legs.

The baby was born at the Lebowakgomo Hospital near Polokwane. She was transferred to Mankweng Hospital for observation and tests.

Doctors in Polokwane decided that she be transferred to George Mukhari for the major operation.

Provincial department of health and development spokesman Phuti Seloba said the baby would leave for GaRankuwa sometime this week.

The executive mayor of Capricorn district municipality, Motalane Monakedi, will visit the baby today.
