Twenty-eight female guards were unfairly dismissed by a security company because the client‚ Metrora.
The search is on for a rapist who has been targeting women in the Daveyton area, Johannesburg police said yesterday.
Captain Alfred Makana said the man who terrorised women in Daveyton Extension 2, waited for their spouses or partners to leave for work before entering their homes.
"Two women have already opened cases of rape, and another was saved by her son."
Makana said there was no facial description of the man because he wore a stocking over his face on all three occasions.
Members of the public are urged to come forward with information that might help the police.
Meanwhile, police arrested two men wanted for rape in Daveyton on Tuesday. The men, aged 36 and 39, who were wanted for two accounts of rape, in January and in June, were arrested at their home.
