Another initiation school in the Tzaneen area has been closed down after thugs allegedly stormed it and assaulted initiates.
This is the second circumcision school in Limpopo that has been forced to close down because of criminals.
Last week a school at Jokong village in Bolobedu was also closed down.
The latest incident happened on Sunday in the Deerpark area outside Tzaneen, where 262 boys were being initiated.
The school had only operated for 14 days.
Matome Mashale, the head of the school, and several boys were beaten by a group of thugs who wanted money.
Some of the initiates were allegedly also sodomised.
When some parents intervened to stop the mayhem, it resulted in a fist fight between the elders and the thugs, who are apparently known to people in the village.
Some of the injured boys were treated at local clinics and others were taken to Van Velden Hospital.
