Mvela Golden League rookies African Warriors have acquired the services of household players and a coach in reinforcing for a stiff campaign in the league next season.
The QwaQwa-based outfit, led by flamboyant managing director Jabu Khumalo, has enlisted 10 experienced players who had stints with top Premiership clubs.
The Warriors have lured former Welkom Stars coach Molefi Ntseki to their camp - thus confirming Sowetan's earlier revelation regarding Ntseki's move to the National First Division newcomers.
Khumalo said they had signed a three-year deal with Ntseki, who sacrificed his post of head of development at Harmony Academy in Virginia, in Free State.
Khumalo said they were happy with Ntseki's coaching credentials adding that "the guy's record is impressive. He has a good background in coaching in development and at professional level."
Meshack Tsotetsi, who guided the club to the MGL, has been retained as assistant coach to the new head coach.
Ambitious Warriors have the names of household players on their books who established their careers with their two Premiership provincial brothers - Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars.
From Phunya Selesele they have Aaron Lepele, Mphongoa Lebajoa and Hendrick Gulwa, who last played for Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban.
Those from the Stars camp are striker Mohau Mokopanela, Boiki Mosia, Ratha Mokoena and well-travelled striker Fees Moloi.
Moloi, Mokopanela, Mosia and Mokoena have been lured from Fidentia Rangers and Bay United.
The other new signings are Tumelo Hlabedi from Bloemfontein Young Tigers, former SuperSport United left-back Kagisho Letshenyeho and former Under-23 goalkeeper Jacob Mokhasi.
Mokhasi joins Warriors from Premiership side Moroka Swallows where he was a bench warmer.
Khumalo said all the players were happy with the offers, which Sowetan learnt are good.
Khumalo further indicated that head coach Ntseki has been given the freedom to recommend additional players he was interested in signing to further bolster the squad.
Warriors start training today for the new season.
