Two Mpumalanga cops have been fired for raping two woman inmates in separate incidents, and two others dismissed for "aiding" prisoners rape a female prisoner.

Constable Kenneth Nsimbini, 27, of Komatipoort Police Station in Mpumalanga, was dismissed last week after being found guilty by an internal disciplinary tribunal of raping a female prisoner. Nsimbini will appear in court on July 27.

In a separate case, a 28-year-old constable was fired last month for allegedly raping an awaiting-trial female prisoner in the Ka-Nyamazane police cells last year.

And two constables were dismissed last month. But their dismissals have been suspended for six months.
