Austria to host African squads

Nigeria and Tunisia have both lined up friendlies against Austria as they begin their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

The Super Eagles and the Carthage Eagles, who have already qualified for the tournament to be held in Ghana in January next year, will play the matches in November.

While the Austrians will us the games as they prepare for the European Championships next year, which they have qualified automatically for as co-hosts.

The Austrians will first host Nigeria on November 17 and will welcome Tunisia four days later.

Austria coach Josef Hickersberger said:

"The Austrian FA managed to get two of the more attractive teams.

"Both sides play at a high level and are a big challenge for us." - BBC
