A brother and sister who had not been seen by neighbours for two weeks were found dead in their own home yesterday.
Residents of block C in Mabopane, Pretoria, watched in shock as police removed the decomposed bodies of the two siblings found in a water-filled bathtub yesterday morning.
Police said the house was ransacked and two pairs of expensive Carvella and Superga shoes were missing.
A television set, music system, a DVD player and speakers were also missing.
Inspector Dikatso Thebe said the siblings, Kgolofelo Leso, 23, and her younger brother Kgosi , 16, stayed alone in the house.
Their mother, Daisy Leso, stays with her boyfriend.
Neighbours suspected something was amiss because they were last seen on June 15.
"A neighbour went to investigate because it was apparent that something was wrong as they always played their music loud. The neighbour found them dead and submerged in water in the bathtub," Thebe said.
"There are no injuries on the bodies and only the postmortem can establish the cause of death," he said.
