Hooker Sabelo Maseko's aspirations of taking part in an international rugby festival in Argentina in September may come to nought if he does not get a sponsor.
All that stands between the promising young rugby player and his ambition is a R14 000 sponsorship for this once-in-a- lifetime trip.
A Grade 10 pupil at Florida High School, Maseko, 16, is part of the school's 22-man rugby team that has been invited to feature in the Argentina Rugby School Tournament.
The Dobsonville-based Maseko said: "I am appealing to any Good Samaritan for a donation. It is everybody's wish to take part in a tournament of this magnitude. I hope someone comes on board and assists me financially to make this trip possible.''
Coach Warren Powell confirmed that his rugby team has been invited by the South African Sports Tours to be part of the yearly tournament in Argentina.
He pleaded to all South Africans to assist Maseko because he is a reliable player and the only hooker in the camp. Anyone who is interested in assisting can call Maseko on 072-566-4513.
