A Bolobedu, Limpopo, man has been missing for more than two months and his family now fear something terrible could have happened to him.
Molate Abram Morwatshehla of GaRabothata, near Kgapane township outside Tzaneen, worked for the provincial Department of Water Affairs at Kgapane. He went missing on April 5 and has not been seen since.
Now the family is concerned about Morwatshehla's safety.
His sister, Motlatjo Molewa, said yesterdaythat she had visited her brother several times at his home but could not find him. She said she had even gone to his estranged wife's home looking for him.
"I became suspicious when I went to my brother's place several times without finding him. There were no signs that he had been home," Molewa said.
"We know that he was separated from his wife, but he would sometimes visit them to see his children. What we do not understand is why this sudden disappearance without him having notified any of us about his whereabouts."
Molewa said that after checking with his employers, who confirmed Morwatshehla's disappearance, she contacted the police.
Frans Masenamela, Morwatshehla's cousin and colleague, said the family were particularly worried because his bank card and ID were found at his home.
Inspector Freddy Maenetja said the Bolobedu police were investigating a missing person case and he appealed to anyone with information on the whereabouts of Morwatshehla to contact the police.
