Police have appealed to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of a man alleged to have killed his wife to come forward.
The body of the 44-year-old woman was found with stab wounds at her house in White City Jabavu, Soweto.
The woman's family described her 20 years' marriage as having been miserable because her husband was abusive.
Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest police station.
