In another twist involving the public protector’s office‚ the Minister of Co-operative Governance an.
I too was disappointed by the response that you gave to the disappointed man from Johannesburg who was responding to the letter from the guy who needed help.
My sister, two wrongs do not make one right. You are not supposed to show your anger or be emotional by saying that the column is titled Sister Sledgehammer and therefore implies tough responses.
Worried man, Limpopo
I am really disturbed by your responses to people who have criticised you for the response you gave to one poor guy needing your help. I seriously would love to see you face-to-face just to have an idea of what you look like.
An appropriate answer to these concerns would have been to acknowledge the concerns, apologise and get on with life.
I wonder what qualifications you hold to give such responses, which indeed smell of anti-men.
If indeed you are biased and stereotype men I would suggest that the Sowetan's editor looks seriously at your credibility and your mannerisms.
The second response to "Disappointed, Johannesburg" was worse. It discourages those of us who feel the same as the writer. We should stop reading Sowetan and buy other papers because your so-called Sister Sledgehammer cannot be wrong and no doubt the paper thinks you are right in responding that way.
Seriously Concerned Sowetan Reader, Durban
Thank you for your letters. As the old saying goes - you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. No more correspondence about this matter will be published because it becomes same-old, same-old.
