Political heavyweights, including ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma, ANCYL president Fikile Mbalula and SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande are expected to descend on Thulamahashe Stadium in Mpumalanga tomorrow.

This is part of the countrywide Youth Month celebrations that the Young Communist League (YCL) has organised for, among others, the unveiling of a programme of action to benefit the youth in the country.

YCL spokesman Castro Ngobese yesterday said: "Our target at the stadium is the youth, but we are inviting everyone to witness the unveiling of the programme of action."

The other leaders expected at the rally are Congress of South African Trade Unions general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi and Buti Manamela, the national secretary of the YCL.

The executive mayor of Bushbuckridge, Milton Morema, and local political leaders in the province are also expected to attend the function.

Local youth said they were excited that the rally would include leaders they had never seen before except on television or newspapers.
